Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using how2coupon ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

2. Description of Service

how2coupon is a coupon management platform that helps users organize, track, and optimize their coupon usage. Our Service includes:

  • Personal coupon inventory management
  • Personalized coupon extraction from emails and images
  • Deal finder and shopping list optimization
  • Expiration alerts and notifications
  • Public coupon browsing and claiming
  • Gmail integration for automatic coupon scanning

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Plans

We offer the following subscription plans:

  • Free: Limited features, ad-supported
  • Pro: Full features, ad-free, $7.99/month or $6.39/month (annual)
  • Ultimate: Advanced features, $9.99/month or $7.99/month (annual)

4.2 Free Trial

Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. During the trial period, you have full access to all features of your selected plan (Pro or Ultimate).

One Trial Per User: Each user is eligible for one free trial only. Once you have used your trial (even if it expired), you cannot start another trial. To continue using paid features, you must subscribe to a paid plan.

Trial Expiration: When your 7-day trial ends, if you have not provided payment information and converted to a paid subscription, your account will automatically be downgraded to the Free plan. You will not be charged.

Converting to Paid: To continue using paid features after your trial, you must provide payment information and convert your trial to a paid subscription. You can do this at any time during or after your trial period. Once you provide payment information and convert, your subscription will begin and you will be charged according to your selected billing period (monthly or annual).

4.3 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time
  • Plan changes take effect at the end of your current billing period (for active subscriptions) or immediately (for free accounts)
  • We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice

4.4 Trial Cancellation

You can stop using the trial at any time. Simply do not provide payment information, and your account will automatically revert to the Free plan when the trial expires. There is no cancellation process required for trials.

4.5 Subscription Cancellation

If you have converted to a paid subscription, you may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period. After cancellation, your account will revert to the Free plan.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Violate or infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect or harvest information about other users
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or abuse others

6. User Content and Data

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all coupons and data you upload or create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

6.2 Data Accuracy

While we use automated and personalized systems to extract coupon information, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. You are responsible for verifying coupon details (codes, expiration dates, terms) before use. We are not liable for any losses resulting from inaccurate coupon information.

6.3 Data Export and Deletion

You can export your coupon data in CSV format at any time. You may delete your account and all associated data through your account settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Gmail Integration

If you choose to connect your Gmail account:

  • You grant us read-only access to scan promotional emails for coupons
  • We recommend using a dedicated Gmail account for coupon emails
  • We do not store your email content - only extracted coupon information
  • You can revoke access at any time through your account settings or Google account
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to grant us access to the email account

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by how2coupon and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services including Google (Gmail, Gemini AI, Cloud Vision, Firebase), payment processors, and advertising networks. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

10.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

10.2 Coupon Validity

We are not responsible for the validity, expiration, or terms of coupons. Retailers may change or cancel coupons at any time. Always verify coupon details before use. We are not liable for any losses resulting from invalid, expired, or rejected coupons.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOW2COUPON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless how2coupon and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
